LEFFITCHBURGReigning from Massachusetts, LEF has been living his dream for the past 21 years. Evolving from an amateur to a professional. Starting off with basement recordings to the finest studios in the New England area. He not only writes all of his material but produces for himself as well as others. In 2002 LEF released his debut album, "Freedom of Speech" under an alias "Lefty Gunz". From doing shows at local clubs in the Worcester County region, he quickly advanced to larger venues which in turn brought a larger fanbase. Performing with artists such as Ludacris, Fabolous, Busta Rhymes, Redman & Method Man he had to step his game up to another level. Due to several reasons he stepped away from the stage to work on his next project. He is set to release the forthcoming album/mixtape "The Backdraft" this December. This album focuses on the harsh realities of life and death. Featuring artists such as "Tru" from Garrison Boys to "Astro" from 360 as well as up and coming new artists like "Robinson" from MS- and "Michelle G". He is inspired by emcees such as Nas, Rakim, Kool G Rap, Guru and Vinnie Paz to name a few. He has also worked with artists such as ETC from "THE CAMP" currently signed to Commonwealth Records to Avirex in VA to Legacy & Conscious of Lost Reality. Going to school pursuing a communications major, he met several producers, musicians, writers and engineers he would later collaborate with. Thanks to the track masters Paul Huron of Icon Studios, Jermy Page of Cybersound and Matt Fortier of Eccentric Productions he was able to record several masterpieces to add to his portfolio. Deciding to venture out to other producers on this project in order to diversify his style as a writer and lyricist. Only producing 5 of the 16 tracks on the upcoming LP- he expanded his horizons to work with instrumental geniuses from Shadowville Productions. Present day LEF can say he lived his dream releasing 2 cds hitting stores to performing with some of todays hip hop and R&B icons in front of thousands of people. He is an artist in the struggle but a father first. With aspirations to make it to the top- yet will not sell out.
