Boston, MA
A-List is a trio of premiere artists based out of New England consisting of rapper/songwriter King Spyda, singer/rapper/songwriter Jane Nithrow, and singer/rapper/producer/songwriter Jay Nixxo. All three artists have built tremendous individual and group buzz in the locale and surrounding hubs of Boston, RI, as well as other parts of New England over the past few years utilizing their unique talents and skill sets. Big believers in the power of their music; A-List is committed to making music that will be loved and listened to consistently nationwide.
King Spyda was born and raised in Boston, MA by full-blooded Haitian parents. He is a strong believer in "respecting the culture of hip-hop and not just doing it; it is important to me to walk that line of underground and commercial." His career so far consists of battle rapping, performing at almost every underground venue in Boston, and winning many local competitions. Additionally Spyda has opened for artists ranging from Tanto Metro and Devonte, Max B, to Joe Budden and Mike Jones.
Jay Nixxo was born and raised in Boston, MA by his single mother, the younger of two siblings. He is determined to personify the concept of progression; driven to make music that encourages people to dream, believe, and live. Beginning at the age of twelve he amassed his arsenal of musical talents by constantly placing himself in a position to see music's various aspects. He began his career rapping and singing then soon progressed to producing beats for hundreds of local artists, becoming Boston's only triple-threat.
Formerly known as Jane Doe, Miss Nithrow realized early in life, that the music industry is full of sound a likes and copycats. This understanding is what forced her to become independent of what is the acceptable norm and to do her own thing. Her music is brash, cocky and full of a swagger. Always trying to be different, Miss Nithrow began at an early age trying to explore where her talents lied. "I tried everything from singing groups, dance groups, and even DJ'ing. I went out and bought an entry-level DJ set up and I was pretty good at blending and scratching, but I didn't really have anyone to teach me, so I moved on" says Jane. As a young'n she began writing poetry as an outlet, but nothing was taken seriously until one day, a certain record by a certain producer changed her life. "I was listening to BET and saw the Missy Elliot Hot Boys video for the first time. That beat was bananas, so I wrote a rhyme to it and was like damn this is kinda aight! The rest is history". Once the streets began to hear the young, then-named Jane Doe spit it was a wrap. Now, one of the most sought after female writers and rappers north of NEW YORK, Jane Nithrow has everyone from Alicia Keys, to RUFF RYDERS, and Half the staff at Sony Urban buzzing about her unique style, voice and most of all swagger!
The three have uniqueness about them, a raw chemistry of sorts. Their unity brings the kind of music that has everyone not only glued to the sound but also impatiently awaiting what is to come next. Currently in the studio hard at work, A-List is working on their next major project, a new album foreseen to be released late July of 2010. This group is presently committed to having the rest of the world hear their finished music; confident that their product will be listened to over and over again.

It all sounds like RADIO Quality tracks. Take note of the Quality part. "Quality" has gone out the window with radio, and by quality I talk about song writing. I can see these tracks being absolutely HUGE. Keep doing this and I'm sure it won't be no time till the Nation can feel it.... I could see Drake blending well with what you guys do on a featured track....
