Upon entering the Music Industry Cyrus Deshield has had the privilege of absorbing from only the best. From Shawn Stockman of 4x platinum winning R&B group Boys II Men, to Vocal arranger extraordinaire Eric Dawkins. Finally breaking out of his shell, he is prepared to bring to the industry what its truly been missing. Songs with not only Nice melodies and lyrics, but that will impact the heart and soul of everyone . "When I write my ballads i want you to see the story as if its your story, i use my arrangements to amplify the emotion of certain lines. Where as if its an uptempo i want you to have that same energy and constant head bounce to the track that i have."
At the age of 18 Cyrus DeShield signed his first record deal with Interscope Records, but quickly began to feel like entrapment, untill asked to perform on label mate Keyshia Cole's album cut "Superstar" with now defunct band Metro City. "My Best memory of being an IGA artist was the keyshia cole tour in 06, after that i noticed i had to prepare myself mentally for what i seen happening. I started writing like crazy."
A man who carefully honed his craft, also had his share of personal heart breaking moments. From being evacuated from the war-torn country Liberia West Africa, and separated from majority of his family, to dealing with the loss of his father to lung cancer.
Cyrus DeShield is one of the many talented "Rated Next" singer/songwriters of Hip hop/R&B his journey continues....
"I touched down in Boston and the rest was history, this music game has taught me a lot. To Stay Humble, competitive, and at the sametime keep God and family real close because you're gonna need them to succeed."

Cyrus is a very talented up and coming artist. You can clearly hear the passion in his music and that goes a long way. "What Will It Take" is a solid example of this. Keep him on your radars.
