Biography

New Bedford, MA

"DaEmpress" is a songwriter, emcee, performing artist, film maker and producer of New Bedford, Massachusetts origin. The undergrounds' "best kept secret weapon" came to prominence in through file-sharing and vlogs of her singles "What i Gotta Do" and "Relapse" on the Internet.

Her compositions have been noted to encompass various genres, with unique lyricism and melodies. DaEmpress has described her music style as being "other." In addition to her work as a graphic designer, providing artwork and photography for releases and as a director of music videos, she has also co-hosted an Urban Hip Hop College radio Show dubbed "2 Hours Of REC" alongside DJ Jules.
