To know Smoke Bulga you have to take it back to where it all began and the city that's expectation's he carries on his back , Boston Massachusetts.Born Allen Keon Lee in the early 80's and raised in Bostons south end growing up Smoke heard rap music pouring from boom boxes and watched street fashions flourish as kids started mimicking the styles of their hip-hop heroes -- Adidas sneakers, tracksuits, and extra-thick gold chains.Having first picked up the mic and committed to a life devoted to hip hop at the young age of 11 he quickly earned the first part of his moniker "Smoke Bulga" by "making the mic smoke" with his lyrical capabilities and rhythmic flow "One day, a kid in my class came in with a demo tape. He told me he wrote the lyrics and did everything himself, and I thought, 'Wow, I think I can do that."'Smoke recalls "That night I wrote my first rhyme, and the next day, the kids didn't believe I wrote it. Right then, I knew I had something. I knew I'd found my niche.". Adding "Bulga" to the end as a play on the name of notorious, FBI most wanted Boston mobster Whitey Bulger to represent his hardened street side a rap star was created .Smoke Bulga quickly began to live the "phast life" of a Boston teen earning full respect both on the block and on the stage.

Smoke soon signed a major deal with Sony/Epic landing him in national magazines such as XXL and The Source as a new artist to watch, he instantly became a hometown favorite and a role model to a generation of Boston artists."People in Boston don't get to go to the clubs to see Bentley's and Benzes pull up , they go to the club to see there enemies, they don't see diamonds and jewels , unless they see Bulga , I'm all they got to represent a superstar".

Now the rest of the world is about to see Smoke Bulga reach his undeniable superstar potential in 08. With a Dj Drama Mixtape in stores Nationwide, features from artists such as Fabolous and the late Stack Bundles, being picked by Vibe Magazine as one of the top 50 rappers on Myspace and gracing the covers of DVD's such as Cheddar DVD and Ghetto Report DVD Boston may be where he started but the world is about to be his stage.
