NEW ENGLAND'S OWN DJ MOTION
New England's own DJ Motion who was raised in Lowell, MA before relocating to Manchester, NH has been at it for years now influenced by such legendary predecessors as DJ Qbert, Mix Master Mike, Jam Master J, Rock Raider, Eric B & Rakim, and DJ I Emerge. Having spun for Manchester bars/nightclubs such as Club Omega (5 years) and Club Liquid (2 years), he has since dj'ed all types of events in New Hampshire, New York City, New Jersey, Delaware and Philadelphia. Currently Motion is holding a residency at The Honey Pot in Seabrook, NH every weekend with his Absolute Saturdays event (flyer below), which also featured MIMS & Millyz live on 5/19/12. Whether in the clubs or at a private event, DJ Motion gives the crowd exactly what they are looking for with the perfect blend of song selection and skills. The official DJ of www.NewEnglandHipHop.com for two years now, he is also part of Coast2Coast DJ’s along with The Green Administration.
His ever growing body of mixtape releases (available here: http://bit.ly/tBFiSL and below) include NEHH projects like "Hard Work Pays" Vol. 1 & 2, "High Energy", "The Jake The Snake Conspiracy" and "The Chosen One: Case File No 1 Chilla Jones" as well as the brand new "90's Vol. 3", "Hot Off the Presses", 4 volumes of "Street Muzik", 2 "90′s Hip Hop/R&B" series, "Relentless Instrumentals Vol. 1, "The Re-Instatement" and "The Underground". This will all soon be followed with "For the Love of Music" presented by NEHH, hosted by Clinton Sparks and mixed of course by DJ Motion.
Aside from putting out his own mixtapes he has been getting into hosting them for other artists as well. With hosting duties for such projects as 2 volumes of MassAppealtv's "Get Ya Verses Right" (Worcester, MA), Sincity's "Recession Proof" (Concord, NH), Rah Bigalow's "The Bigalow Doctrine 2" (New Britain, CT), Jayo's "No Surrender Vol. 3" (Woonsocket, RI), Concept's "Bring It Back" (Brockton, MA), Green Monstar's "Live Free Or Die" (Haverhill/Lawrence, MA) and Fredro Starr & Sticky Fingaz' "100 Mad Pt. 2" (Queens, NY), more are sure to come.
If that's not enough he can also produce having supplied the beat for Boston Reggae artist Mighty Mystic's "My Sound" (The Greatest Sound), "Everything" by Spoon Digga & Green Monstar ( Common Ground) and the soon to be released hard hitting "Roxbury Boys" by Boston's Sean Hines and Hitman (of Rushin Embassy Ent). Motion also handled the scratching on "Lawtown Rooftops" by Lawrence, MA's Hood Pro (all below).
