Christopher "Revalation" Figueroa aka Rev is a talented, 26 year old Puerto Rican MC from New Bedford, MA. Born in South Bronx, NY and partially raised there, Rev is no stranger to tense surroundings and moving to New Bedford faired no better. In 1991, the Potter Street area was flooded with gang members, drug dealers, and addicts, which always created a potential for violence. Rev looked past that, and at age 14 began writing raps to release tension. In college he teamed up with fellow MA spitters M-Dot & Mayhem to form EMS and began doing shows all over MA, ME, NH, RI, NJ and even Montreal, CAN at the Hard Rock Cafe. Opening for such national acts as Joe Budden, N.O.R.E., Raekwon, Freeway, Styles P, M.O.P, Pharoahe Monch, Das EFX, Cormega, KrumbSnatcha, Akrobatik, Made Men, etc.He's also collaborated with respected underground artists like Sha Stimuli, Termanology, Reks and XL. His music has also been played on Boston’s JAM’N 94.5 Launchpad and WERS 88.9 and is still building his resume as we speak. With his versatile flow, attention getting mic presence and hard hitting rhymes, Revalation is sure to bring the rawness back to hip-hop.
